WHAT WE DO
We look forward to partnering with you to create a successful strategy for the distribution of your movie.
It can be a mix of any number of the categories below, or we can customize a specific plan to service your film.
Hourly, weekly, monthly, per project or entire slate consultation also available.
Film distribution is a complex and multifaceted process, and each of these release strategies caters to different goals and target audiences. The choice of strategy depends on factors such as the film's budget, genre, cast, target audience, and the goals of the filmmaker/distributor.
WIDE RELEASE COMMERCIAL FILMS
This option involves releasing a film in 800-3000 mainstream theaters
across North America. It includes working with major national and regional exhibitors like AMC, Regal, Cinemark, and all others to secure bookings,
film rental terms, theatrical revenue collection, promote the film in theaters and their loyalty programs.
LIMITED RELEASES
Limited and platform releases are often used for niche, independent or specialty films. The film is initially released in a smaller number of theaters, typically in major cities or select markets. This strategy allows the film to
build buzz and gain momentum before expanding to a broader audience. The goal may be to generate word-of-mouth and critical acclaim, and then gradually roll out to additional theaters.
AWARD QUALIFYING SCREENINGS
This strategy involves releasing the film strategically in a select number of cities and theaters to meet the criteria for awards consideration. Films must be screened in specific locations within a specified time frame to be eligible for awards like the Oscars, Golden Globes, SAG, DGA, etc. This approach is used to increase a film's chances of receiving nominations and awards.
DAY AND DATE WITH STREAMING/VOD RELEASE
In this approach, a film is released in theaters simultaneously with its availability on streaming or Video-on-Demand (VOD) platforms. It's a
hybrid model that caters to both the theater-going audience and those
who live in a location where the film is not playing. This strategy may
involve a short window of exclusivity in theaters before the digital release.
4 WALLS/SCREEN BUYOUTS
This option allows the film's distributor or producers to buy out all the showtimes on a particular screen in a theater for a specified duration.
They keep 100% of the ticket sales for those showings.
NEGOTIATE NON-THEATRICAL DEALS
This service involves securing distribution deals for films outside of
traditional theaters when the theatrical window has finished. This can
include deals with airlines, hotels, military bases, colleges, cruise ships,
and other non-traditional screening locations.
COORDINATE FILM DISTRIBUTION IN PUERTO RICO AND CANADA
This service specifically deals with handling the distribution of a film in
these regions. It may include dealing with different regulations, theaters,
and marketing strategies for these markets.
